My First English Diary - 初一英语日记
A Sunny Monday
Today is my first time writing an English diary. I feel both excited and nervous. My English teacher, Ms. Li, encouraged us to practice writing simple diaries to improve our language skills.
Morning Routine
I woke up at 6:30 am as usual. After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I had breakfast with my family. My mother made delicious scrambled eggs and toast. I drank a glass of milk while reviewing English vocabulary flashcards.
School Life
At school, we had an interesting English class. We learned about simple present tense and practiced making sentences. My classmate Wang Lin and I worked together on a dialogue:
"What time do you get up?"
"I get up at six o'clock."
"Do you eat breakfast at home?"
"Yes, I usually have milk and bread."
After-school Activities
After school, I joined the English club. We watched a short cartoon called "Peppa Pig" in English with Chinese subtitles. I could understand about 60% of the words! The teacher said this is good progress for a beginner.
Reflection
Writing this diary made me realize how much English I'm learning every day. At first, I could only write very simple sentences like "I go to school." Now I can express more thoughts, though still with some mistakes. My teacher told me not to worry about perfection but to focus on communication.

Tomorrow's Goal
I want to try writing five sentences about my family using the new grammar we learned. Maybe I'll describe what my parents do every morning. This diary practice is really helpful for remembering words and grammar patterns.
Today's weather was sunny and warm, just like my mood when making progress in English! I'll continue writing diaries to track my improvement throughout this semester.
