My Summer Vacation Diary

Today was the first day of my summer vacation! I woke up early feeling excited about the free time ahead. In the morning, I helped my mom prepare breakfast - we made pancakes with fresh fruits. It was so much fun cooking together!
In the afternoon, I visited the city library to borrow some English storybooks. Reading is my favorite holiday activity because it helps improve my English skills while being entertaining. I chose three books: a mystery novel, a science fiction story, and an English learning magazine.
After dinner, my family went for a walk in the park. The summer breeze felt wonderful, and we saw many people flying kites. I even made a new friend who was visiting from another city. We talked about our school lives in simple English - great practice for both of us!
This was just the first day, but I already feel this will be a meaningful and enjoyable vacation. I plan to keep writing in my diary every day to record all my holiday adventures.
